How this calculator works
Enter measured project dimensions and planning inputs. The calculator converts them into the quantities shown in the results.
Formula
Concrete volume = length × width × slab thickness in feet. Order volume applies the selected waste allowance, then cubic yards = cubic feet ÷ 27.
Example
For a 40 ft × 12 ft driveway at 5 in thick, the base volume is 200 cu ft before waste.
Assumptions and material notes
This is a rectangular slab planning estimate. It does not design reinforcement, subbase, joints, slopes, or thickened edges.
Frequently asked questions
What thickness should I enter?
Enter the planned slab thickness from your project design or specifications.
Does it include waste?
Yes. The waste field is applied to the base concrete volume.
How are cubic yards calculated?
Cubic feet are divided by 27.
Does it calculate reinforcement?
No. Reinforcement and structural details are outside this volume estimate.
Should I verify the order?
Yes. Recheck measurements and confirm the final quantity with your supplier.
